On March 10, 2025, psychological workshops were held at the Non-Public Dormitory “Awans” in Kielce, aimed at foreign youth.
The meeting was led by Dr. Katarzyna Krzystanek, a specialist in supporting children and adolescents. The purpose of the classes was to train students' strengths and build positive relationships in a multicultural school environment.
The workshops were part of the project “Świętokrzyskie – Development and Partnership for Professional Counseling,” funded by the National Institute of Freedom – Center for Civil Society Development. Thanks to this, participation in the event was free of charge.
During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to discover their individual talents, learn cooperation, and strengthen their sense of self-worth. Using modern methods of working with young people, Dr. Krzystanek created an atmosphere of trust and openness, allowing participants to freely express emotions and reflections.
Integration in a multicultural environment is a challenge that requires involvement from both students and teaching staff. Joint activities such as workshops or teacher trainings help overcome cultural and language barriers, building bridges of understanding and mutual respect.
It is also worth mentioning the activities of the INTEURO Center for the Integration of Foreigners in Kielce, which offers free psychological, educational, and legal support for people with migration experience. The center provides, among other things, Polish language courses and individual consultations, supporting integration and social development in the region.
